We don’t typically endorse in state or federal races (yet), but this one has been personal to Future Portland.
Last fall, we learned how vacant seats are appointed and we were less than impressed with the process and the person chosen to represent us from the MultCo Democrat PCPs and MultCo Board.Rep. Lamar Wise does not know or stand for the people of HD48; Andrew Morrison is a moderate family-oriented businessman who truly understands the needs of the residents in East Portland, East County, and North Clackamas County.

City of Portland Measure 26-267, aka “Participatory Budgeting”, aka “Your Two Cents”
Please vote no - while it sounds nice, it codifies into our city charter a mandatory 2% every year taken from our general discretionary fund budget. A budget we just slashed the last two years due to declining revenue due to businesses and taxpayers leaving the city and county, something that is forecasted to continue happening.
That would have meant taking $16 million from this year’s budget. Where would you cut - parks or public safety? Just vote NO.
Future Portland Endorsements
The Future Portland Action Fund Board of Directors used United for Portland responses to help them select Portland City Council endorsements.
They also considered in-person event responses, which were the basis of all Multnomah County endorsements, along with prior knowledge of current and past electeds.

Voter Registration Deadline is October 14, 2026
Certain May elections are considered primary races for the November general election, and therefore you must be registered as a Democrat or Republican in order to vote. That includes all of the state level races - Governor, all State House and some State Senate seats.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE REGISTERED WITH A MAJOR PARTY TO VOTE IN LOCAL NONPARTISAN RACES OR THE NOVEMBER GENERAL ELECTION.
The City of Portland and Multnomah County have eliminated their May primary elections.

Ballots Mailed Starting Oct. 14th
Absentee / out-of-state ballots are sent Sept. 21 - Oct. 5th. If you haven’t received your ballot by October 21st, please contact the Multnomah County Elections Office:

Your ballot is due on Tuesday, November 3rd by 8pm. It is now FREE to mail your ballot - no stamps required! Ballots must be picked up & postmarked by November 3rd to be counted.
